Through assessment, treatment and targeted education, we will help you realize your maximum potential. MVPT is a recognized cornerstone in the Marin healthcare community. Established in 1981, we have been offering our patients the best of care in physical therapy, sports rehabilitation and preventive therapies for over 30 years. Our physical therapists constantly update their evaluation and manual skills through continuing education courses to ensure the best possible care for our patients. Our support staff is specialized in massage therapy, Pilates, ergonomics and personal training as well as prevention and care in rehabilitation.

The Staff Of Mill Valley Physical Therapy

Jaina Patel
Licensed Physical Therapist and Owner

Jaina Patel started her career as a physical therapist in 2004 when she received her Masters of Physical Therapy at Georgia State University. She later went on and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Boston University in 2007. Jaina has predominately worked in orthopedics, but has also worked in pediatrics performing aquatic therapy as well as serving the geriatric population focusing on fall prevention and overall health maintenance. In addition to being the current owner of Mill Valley Physical Therapy, Jaina also has an out-patient practice in southern California. When away from work, Jaina enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Chad Gregg
Manager, PTA, Aide

Chad graduated from South College in Asheville, NC with a Physical Therapy Assistant degree. Chad has worked at Mill Valley Physical Therapy since he moved to California in 2020. His free time consists of playing golf, bike riding and enjoying beautiful wine country. Chad loves live music and enjoys traveling.

Susan Van Hise
Licensed Physical Therapist

Susan Van Hise received her BA from UC Berkeley and her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from UCSF/SFSU. She has been practicing out-patient orthopedics since 2009, first in S.F. and currently in Marin. Susan’s diverse experience includes treatment of sports and work injuries, balance impairments, degenerative conditions, pre- and post-surgical joint repairs and replacements, postural irregularities and gait disorders. She is a native of Mill Valley and is raising her family here. Susan thoroughly enjoys working in this community treating people of all ages, from our elementary school students to our centenarians.

Danielle Skordas
Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant

Danielle was born and raised here in Marin County. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Art from University of Denver majoring in Communications with a minor in Spanish. Danielle enjoys working with others and has a great appreciation for staying active which sparked her interest in physical therapy. She has been a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant since 2015 after graduating from the Physical Therapy Assistant program at St. Philips College in San Antonio. When not working, Danielle is playing with her 2.5 year old girl and her shepherd mix. She loves the Bay Area where she can enjoy the outdoors year round, whether it’s trail running, skiing, camping, hiking or paddle boarding.

Important Information For Your First Visit

    Please arrive 10 -15 minutes before your first scheduled appointment to register at the front desk.

    Bring your Doctor’s prescription, Insurance card, X-rays, MRI, or Surgical reports.

  • 03

    Expect to be at our clinic for approximately 60 – 75 minutes, your 1st visit.

  • 04

    Bring or wear comfortable clothing such as a tank top, shorts and tennis shoes.

Please note that contracted providers may be added or deleted at any time, given unexpected contract changes.
